Story of a FB page to build a Brand: RVCJ


As a matter of entrepreneurial spirit, being a mentor of un-think dreams, we are continuously exploring the unexplored struggle stories to you that lead to a great success story.

Today I’m going to explore another struggling story, rendered to Mr Shahid Javed Ansari, Founder of Rajnikanth Vs CID Jokes (RVCJ).

Making jokes on social media platform is a kind of fun for youths, but an entrepreneur was seeing this as an opportunity and started to make fun of a famous Crime Serial CID.

After getting graduated everyone has a dream to get a job with a well-known brand. Mr Shahid also did the same thing. After graduation did MBA and get a sales manager job in a company.

After job so much time left for ECAs.

So, he goes for a business idea and took a loan for Franchise of a Vadaa-Pao company.

This was proved a big mistake in his entrepreneurial journey. The business failed and he stuck.

“Every failure is not an end; it’s a beginning of a Great Success”.

Shahid initiated RVCJ after Robot released

It was 2010 when “Robot” of Rajnikanth released and social media was shifting towards “Facebook” from “Orkut”.

Now, social media fans were making jokes about the movie. Shahid takes initiative and makes an FB page for Joke Posting. It was only about fun yet.

He invested the free time in making and posting jokes.

Slowly, but constantly, RVCJ getting a boost and a fan following on Facebook.

Now, a team gathered to join the journey

Hereafter, Shahid got lead of two geniuses. He got a business friend and business partner, Ankit.

Ankit was an expert in video editing and Image editing. Hence, he started putting creativity and posting creative images. It has them a rapid boost in following and shares.

Till now, they haven’t any revenue source.

Harpreet joins them and brings technical skills, generate revenue to them. He searched a lot of revenue sources and after that in the year of 2015, all these co-founders left their careers and begins their idea for a full time.

Journey to the Zenith

Today, RVCJ is not only a FB page. It has a website, ranked among top 200 websites in India, around 1 crore web visitors.

This small-quite creative team generated crore of rupees within 8 years with their team of creative ones.
