Manu Kumar Jain is a leading Indian entrepreneur and the Global Vice President of Xiaomi. He is also the Managing Director of Xiaomi India. The 37-year-old Manu, who co-founded Jabong in 2012, is one of the more affable leaders in the tech ecosystem. Manu born in Meerut, Manu sought after a B.Tech course in Mechanical Designing from IIT, New Delhi, which he graduated in 2003. He later anchored an MBA from the IIM Calcutta in 2007. His ability to predict trends and course correct has helped him to get the best out of both the stints. That is the point at which he chose to turn a business visionary. With the eCommerce business set out to take form, he co-founded Jabong. When he left Jabong to join Xiaomi, Jabong had built up itself as an extremely solid player in the market. when Manu joined Xiaomi India as the managing director, he was its first employee in the country.
It’s interesting to know that in 2017, the top 3 smartphone models in India were all Xiaomi smartphones. These were the Redmi Note 4, Redmi 4A, and Redmi 4.Jain is also known for a strong supporter of “Make In India” campaign and he sets-up three Xiaomi manufacturing plants in India.
Manu trusts that Xiaomi isn’t attempting to assemble mobile phones. The group at the organization is hoping to make a ecosystem. “You must have the capacity to get to
your entire world through your mobile phone”.
Manu includes that you require a market in India that interfaces and takes into account the diverse assortment of individuals. “It simply isn’t about availability; the telephone must be reasonable and should increase the value of the normal Indian purchaser,”
